In order to expand the Amazon WoW (Women of the World) initiative driven by Amazon India, the giant has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

This program aims to empower and support female students pursuing engineering courses in Indian institutions with essential skills for the technology industry. Amazon's Director of Students Programs, Suman Yadav signed a collaboration agreement with AICTE, chaired by Professor T G Sitharam.

The Amazon WoW initiative is dedicated to providing skill development sessions and resources to female students so that they can easily connect with the Amazon community.

AICTE is a national apex body for technical education and Amazon partners with this firm to equip women students with necessary technology skills for success in the rapidly evolving field. AICTE and Amazon India are partnering to foster women's interaction with technologists and industry leaders, aiming to develop critical careers-focused skills.

Amazon reaffirms its commitment to uplift and support the upcoming generation of Indian women innovators and tech leaders through this memorandum of understanding.

Amazon WoW has successfully delivered over 40 sessions with 300+ female students securing over 900 internships and full-time opportunities. This platform has accumulated more than 298,000 members since its platform since it's launch. In more than 40 sessions, subjects including coding, problem-solving, tech interviews, and data structures were covered preparing female students for applications and selection processes. The students are also provided with one-on-one problem problem-solving sessions by Amazon senior employees.

This partnership of AICTE and Amazon India intends to upskill and encourage women in STEM fields to pursue their careers in technology while also maximizing resource utilization. Women will be able to work more easily and be better equipped to continue significantly to India's transition to a fully digital economy.
