Amazon & ARGA Collaborate to Empower Women Entrepreneurs in Uttar Pradesh

E-commerce giant, Amazon India has partnered with ARGA, a Uttar Pradesh government initiative, to empower women entrepreneurs in Gonda district through e-commerce. Through Amazon's Saheli programme, participants will receive training in digital marketing and advertising, helping to grow their businesses through e-commerce platforms.
This collaboration will offer Amazon's Saheli programme, providing training in digital marketing, product listing optimization, and advertising to women-led enterprises under Brand ARGA.
The partnership was announced at an event during the World Wetlands Day celebration at Parvati Arga Bird Sanctuary. The event was attended by key figures, including Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Minister of State for Environment Kirti Vardhan Singh.
Women entrepreneurs in the region will gain access to data-driven insights and metrics to understand customer expectations and market opportunities.
The partnership will allow Brand ARGA to list products such as pickles, jams, flour, namkeen, gram flour, noodles, and other regional specialties on Amazon.in.
Brand ARGA helps SMBs market their products under the ‘ARGA’ brand name in both local and international markets.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, “With Amazon’s support, these SHGs will now have the opportunity to sell their products online. While our products have always been of high quality, we have now addressed packaging challenges, and with organization’s like Amazon onboard, marketing hurdles are also being overcome,”
