Amazon India has announced a partnership with Womennovator, a worldwide incubator for women entrepreneurs, to aid their expansion across India and the globe.
Amazon will help 200 women entrepreneurs publish their items on its worldwide marketplaces and websites as part of this partnership in order to build global brands from India.
These includes companies like Bunko Junko, Kidsy Winsy, Vishaala Naturals, Gems & Diamonds, and others. These businesspeople operate in a variety of industries, including those related to clothing, cosmetics, jewellery, spices, toiletries, handicrafts, home furnishings, and office supplies.
These Womennovator-affiliated business owners will join Amazon's Global Selling e-commerce exports programme over the course of the following 24 months. When they begin the process of building a strong ecommerce exports business, Amazon will offer them all the assistance, resources, and tools they require. This includes free skill-building workshops on the subtleties of e-commerce exports as well as instruction on product listing, pricing, global shipping, and more.
better export accessibility
"We are pleased about our association with Womennovator and the potential it has to programmatically help 200 of their members develop global brands from India," said Bhupen Wakankar, Director, Global Trade at Amazon India.
By removing the factor of firm size, e-commerce is quickly giving lakhs of Indian businesses access to the export market. The goal of Amazon India is to enable $20 billion in total e-commerce exports from India by 2025, thus we are concentrating on making exports simpler and more accessible for companies of all sizes.
"Our affiliation with Amazon Global Selling is a huge milestone, and we are pleased to support our women entrepreneurs in their journey towards attaining worldwide success," stated Tripti Singhal Somani, founder of Womennovator.
Through our flagship programmes like the Global Roadshow, Creators Fest, 100 Power Women, and Incubation and Acceleration Program, we at Womennovator hope to empower billions of women and provide them the tools they need to reach their full potential.
The Amazon Global Selling e-commerce exports programme lowers the barrier to entry for Indian MSMEs looking to launch or grow their online exports company. In order to help Indian exporters connect with clients throughout the world via Amazon's international websites and marketplaces, the initiative was introduced in India in 2015.
