The national executive meeting of the All India Democratic Women's Association (AIDWA) is scheduled to take place in Visakhapatnam from February 22 to 25. The purpose of this important conference is to create an action plan for a better future for women, with a specific focus on women's rights. On the first day of the meeting, there will be an important public rally and meeting. This national meeting is being held in Visakhapatnam, which is well-known for its history of women's rights fights. Leaders include Mariam Dhavale, Subhashini Ali, Malini Bhattacharya, K.K. Sailaja, Keerthi Singh, Jagamathi Sanghavan, Manjit, and Archana Prasad will be present at the conference.
A.P. Mahila Sangham, founded in 1936 in Krishna district, Andhra Pradesh, has been actively involved in the fight for women's rights. Later on, it changed its name to AIDWA, which currently has one crore members nationwide. In addition to fighting for women's rights, AIDWA was instrumental in the passage of numerous laws protecting women. The association, however, expresses worries about how the current BJP-led government may be restricting women's rights. Ms. Punyavathi highlighted the ongoing gender disparities despite technological advancements, emphasizing the importance of upholding women's rights. She called for an action plan at the AIDWA national meet to ensure a better future for women.
There is also a discussion of caste, religion, and religious beliefs. A plan of action to guarantee a better future for women will be developed during the national executive meeting. Students, youths, intellectuals, progressive-minded people, and others are encouraged by AIDWA to actively engage in the event and help make it a success.
