The Aam Aadmi Party's manifesto for the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections was revealed, pledging free bus service for women, 300 free electrical units, and round-the-clock power supply in the state.
Sanjay Singh, the AAP's Uttar Pradesh in-charge, delivered the manifesto, dubbed "Kejriwal Guarantee Card," at a news conference.
The party has pledged free bus service for women across the state, as well as 300 units of free electricity and power availability 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
It also vowed to introduce legislation to ensure that farmers' output receives a minimum support price (MSP).
All farm loans will be forgiven, and farmers will get the cost of their produce within 24 hours. According to a statement, "the (MSP) prices of sugarcane will be enhanced every year, and payments would be made to a farmer the minute he unloads the sugarcane in the mills."
Sugarcane growers' unpaid bills and a low support price have been a problem in the state's western regions.
According to Singh, the AAP has also offered compensation of Rs 50,000 per hectare in the event that farmers' crop is lost owing to unfavourable weather circumstances such as drought or floods.
The party pledged 10 lakh government employment, 97,000 teacher recruitment, and a guarantee of 80 percent reservation for local youths in state government jobs.
It vowed to reestablish the former pension programme for government employees and to handle the difficulties of over 45,000 constables of the Prantiya Raksha Dal (PRD), a voluntary force.
The AAP also promised lawyers chambers and life insurance worth up to ten lakh rupees.
A monetary compensation of Rs 1 crore, as well as a job, will be offered to the next of kin of a soldier who dies in the line of duty. According to Singh, the families of the Covid fighters who died will receive compensation of Rs 1 crore apiece.
The party has committed to implement a Constitution of India curriculum in basic schools throughout the state. After we take power, we will keep all of the promises mentioned in the Kejriwal Guarantee card. Singh stated, "I will urge the people of the state to give us a chance in this election."
The AAP also promised journalists Rs 10 lakh in insurance, according to the statement.
