A recent study by Spinny, an acclaimed full-stack platform for used automobiles or cars, highlighted the increasing inclination of female consumers in the Indian used car market. Their data indicates that in March 2024, 46 per cent of women in India chose used cars, an increase of significantly from 35 per cent in the same quarter the previous year.

The largest increase in female customers was seen in Delhi-NCR with 48 per cent. Bengaluru came in second with 41 per cent. In Mumbai, 46 per cent of female drivers preferred used cars. Pune obtained 39 per cent of the total. Kochi distinguished itself in the south with a staggering 57 per cent rise in the number of female Spinny car buyers. Women buyers increased by 20 per cent in non-metropolitan towns like Jaipur and Lucknow.

Popular brands like Renault Kwid, Grand-i10, and Baleno appeared as favorites among women between the ages of 30 to 40 as per the study of the Spinny platform. These decisions are the result of a variety of considerations, such as a desire for more autonomy, environmental awareness, and effective financial management. Niraj Singh, the CEO and founder of Spinny, underlined the company's dedication to advancement and inclusivity in the automotive sector.

In March, the firm celebrated and encouraged women who own cars with its "Lady Luck" campaign, which gave exceptional discounts of up to Rs. 25,000 on automobile purchases.

This dedication is further supported by the overwhelmingly positive response from both men and women. The growing dependence on the used car market for automotive requirements denotes a substantial shift in consumer behavior.
