341 Women Are Inducted Into The Indian Navy For The First Time Under Agniveer

The Indian Navy is enlisting female sailors for the first time at this historic occasion. Chief Admiral R Hari Kumar claims that 341 of the 3000 Agniveers are female. Kumar said the Navy closely monitors the actions of multiple Chinese military and research boats in the Indian Ocean region during a press briefing held in advance of Navy Day.

The Chief Admiral claimed that India had a very challenging and exciting year in terms of operations. The Indian Navy, he continued, has recently reached a very high operating tempo.

In order to emphasise even more how gender-neutral the Armed Forces are, Kumar stated that the Indian Navy has already hired female operation officers and fighter pilots, and that it is now time for female sailors to enlist.

"Services are open to both genders. Women are already acting in combat roles. The Navy employs fighter pilots and air operations officers. We have begun enlisting women sailors as well as we open all branches in the upcoming year. It is a significant accomplishment, "the Navy leader stated.

Women would now be eligible to join all remaining branches in the upcoming year, the Navy Chief also announced during the National Defence Academy (NDA) passing out parade at Khadkwasla, Pune.

Additionally, Kumar pledged that the Indian Navy will work to achieve "Atmanirbhar" (self-sufficiency) by 2047. He continued by saying that his force intended to offer the nation security options made in India.
