20 Women Founders On IDFC's Self-Made Entrepreneur 2023 List

Seven Hyderabad-based millennial companies and their founders have been included in IDFC First Private Hurun India's top 200 self-made entrepreneurs of the millennia 2023 list. Around 20 female entrepreneurs were included in the list and Falguni Nayar, the 60-year-old founder of Nykaa was leading the list in 12th position in all of India with a 43,685 crore market capitalization.
The list has been focused on the market capitalization and valuations as of 30 September 2023 where Hyderabad ranked 28th out of all India's cities in the list of companies founded after the year 2000 with Deccan Fine Chemicals Founders Vamsi Gokaraju and GS Raju leading the way with a valuation of 24,971 crores.
The giants of Pharma and Healthcare Madhukar Gangadi of MedPlus Health Services, Satyanarayana Reddy of MSN Labs, Bhaskar Rao of KIMS, and Satyaranarya Chava of Laurus Labs came after them.
The founders of HRtech unicorn Darwinbox, Jayant Paleti, Chaitanya Peddi, and Rohit Chennamaneni, as well as Nagakanaka Durga Prasad Chalavadi of Sai Silks were listed after the healthcare giants.
Bengaluru which is renowned as India's startup capital, topped the list with 69 most valuable companies and 129 entrepreneurs, followed by Mumbai, Gurugram, New Delhi, Chennai, and Pune whereas Hyderabad was ranked seventh in terms of companies and ninth in terms of entrepreneurs.
The report stated that the total value of all the companies on the list is 30 lakh crore, which is equal to the GDP of Denmark. It is interesting to note that eight of the top 10 most valuable companies founded in the millennium are startups.
