138 Female Students Awarded at 67th Convocation of Lucknow University

The 67th convocation ceremony at Lucknow University celebrated academic excellence and student achievements with 198 medals awarded to 138 female students and 60 male students respectively. The high number of female students showcased the university's commitment to fostering a supportive and empowering environment for all genders. The event featured Vijay Pandurang Bhatkar, invertor of India's first supercomputer, PARAM, and Governor Anandiben Patel, who uploaded over 1 lakh students' degrees and marksheets.
Vijay Pandurang Bhatkar emphasized that women will lead India to superpower status. He praised female students for their academic achievements and also praised their determination, hard work, creativity, imagination, and innovation. He further suggested introducing quantum concepts in education.
Governor Anandiben Patel awarded medals to over 1 lakh students at Lucknow University, with over 1 lakh degrees and marksheets uploaded digitally. She praised the success of the university, which has received NAAC A+ and high NIRF rankings, and highlighted the influence of teachers in nurturing creativity and innovation among students.
Lucknow University medalists celebrated their hard work at the convocation ceremony, expressing gratitude for classroom lessons, parents' support, and regular study attention. Female students have received honorary degrees in various fields, including M.Com, Geography, MA English, B.Sc Mathematics, and Zoology. Archi Srivastava, an M.Com student, received three gold medals, citing her family, especially her younger sister, as a crucial part of her journey. Shivani Singh, a MA Geography student, received her medals, citing her teacher Prof. Durgesh Srivastava as an inspiration. Divyanshi Mishra, an MA English student, received her medals after getting married in between her courses. Husna Ansari, 21, a B.Sc Mathematics student, said her mother was an inspiration.
Several other students like Shailja Chaurasia, Reema Chowdhury, Vaishnavi Mishra, Anushka Jain, Anshika Tiwari, and Ayush Chauhan have received several awards for their exemplary performance in their respective fields.
