10-Day NCA Camp to Be Held for Indian Women's Cricket Team

The National Cricket Academy (NCA), located in Bengaluru, will host a 10-day camp for the women's cricket team of India. They will begin this camp on Tuesday, September 10, and it will be an key part of their preparation for the T20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates. Amol Muzumdar, the team's head coach, will oversee the camp. On Monday, a fully-fit squad, including backup players, will come together in Bengaluru.
After passing their fitness tests, all-rounder Shreyanka Patil and wicketkeeper-batsman Yastika Bhatia—who was provisionally included in the 15-person World Cup squad will report to the NCA camp.
The team will play two intra-squad games, both of which are anticipated to be played under lights, as part of their World Cup preparations. This corresponds with their World Cup schedule, which includes three of their four Group A games being played under lights. The lone exception is their match in Dubai on October 7th versus Pakistan.
After the 10-day camp, players will be back home for a brief four-day break. The team will then meet in Mumbai before leaving for the UAE on September 24. Indian women will begin their World Cup campaign with two official warm-up matches which will be played against West Indies and South Africa at the ICC Academy in Dubai.
The Indian women’s team will start their World Cup campaign in a match against New Zealand on October 4.
