In a ground-breaking partnership with WeHub, aha, India's top 100% Telugu OTT platform, proudly presents "Nenu Super Woman," an exceptional business reality show aimed at inspiring and uplifting female entrepreneurs. This pioneering series, which began airing on July 21 and airs every Friday and Saturday at 7 PM, has sparked impassioned debates throughout the Telugu States and won the hearts of fans from a variety of backgrounds.
Six prestigious angel investors, Deepa Dodla, Sudhakar Reddy, Dr. Sindhura Narayana, Sridhar Gadhi, Rohit Chennamaneni, and Renuka Bodla, made an unprecedented investment of Rs. 1.35 crore in the innovative startup businesses of four exceptional women entrepreneurs during the first week of "Nenu Super Woman."
One of these remarkable entrepreneurs is Prathima Vishwanath, the founder of Ammamma's, a brand with a mission to provide nutritious food. Her empowering tale defies age-related preconceptions and demonstrates that entrepreneurship has no age restrictions. The venture began with a vision to supply nutritious food to her athlete daughter, Maanya, and has now expanded to serve 1000 stores in Hyderabad and Secunderabad, followed by 150 stores in Bengaluru. In the fiscal year 2022-23, Ammamma's achieved a remarkable revenue of Rs 4.2 crore.
During her pitch on the show, Prathima sought an investment of Rs 3 crore for a 6% equity stake in her startup. Though some Angels hesitated due to their lack of experience in the FMCG field, two Angels, Sudhakar Reddy and Deepa Dodla of Dodla Dairy, boldly stepped forward to collaborate with her. Their investment of Rs 50 lakh earned them a 2% equity stake, exemplifying the spirit of entrepreneurship and support for women-led businesses.
The show, in collaboration with WeHub, aims to empower and uplift women entrepreneurs in India, providing them with an opportunity to showcase their innovative startups and secure investments to fuel their growth. 'Nenu Super Woman' is breaking barriers and paving the way for more inclusive and diverse representation in the business world.
Through this platform, exceptional women like Prathima Vishwanath and her peers are proving that they possess the vision, talent, and determination to thrive in the business landscape. The support of the Six Angels is a testament to the potential of women-led startups and their invaluable contributions to the Indian economy.
As 'Nenu Super Woman' continues to unfold, it is expected to inspire and encourage more women to pursue entrepreneurship, while fostering a culture of support and mentorship for women in the business realm. With this show's success, aha and WeHub are setting a powerful precedent for other platforms to follow, as they continue to uplift and empower women entrepreneurs across the nation.
