Take Us Through Your Early Educational Journey And Prior Industry Experience.
I got my early education from Kanpur, my hometown. After getting a bachelor’s in science I went to Symbiosis Pune to pursue PGDCM with a specialization in Computers. For over 15 years, I have handled sales and marketing for various multi- national QSR brands like Pizza Hut, KFC, and Costa Coffee. I have also worked with the companies in the amusement park segments and handled sales and strategic alliances at the Kingdom of Dreams, Worlds of Wonder, KidZania, and so on.

Tell Us About The Challenges In Your Current Role And How You Successfully Tackle Them.

My expertise lies in working with strategic tie-ups. I head Product Marketing and Sales for a novelty of holidaying destinations on a global scale in my present- day role. I also engage in identifying the leads for membership from different sources and channels at a pan India level.

Working with different geographies and challenges of each state and mindset, I adapt to make a win-win situation for both the clients and Club Mahindra Bliss.  Bliss has its own challenges of finding the right clientele as the product has an age limitation. However, in this age category, it is welcomed with warm hugs as post-pandemic, everyone has a flavor to travel and live their life to the fullest.

"I Lead By Example And Follow Sea, Where S Is For Sincerity, E Is For Ethics And A Is Asking"

What Has Been The Driving Force Behind Your Success As A Business Leader? And What Have Been Some Key Business Lessons That You Have Learned In Your Professional Journey?

The driving force for me as a leader has always been that if as a leader I give up then my team will also give up. I live by this quote from Napoleon Bonaparte - "If you build an army of 100 lions and their leader is a dog, in any fight, the lions will die like a dog. But if you build an army of 100 dogs and their leader is a lion, all dogs will fight like a lion."

As a sales professional, I always focused on achieving over a hundred and twenty percent of the sales targets I had year on year. To achieve this, I have learned that building relationships are most important in sales, along with maintaining transparency in any business dealings. I lead by example and follow SEA, where S is for Sincerity, E is for Ethics and A is Asking.

What Steps Do You Take To Keep Yourself Well Aligned With The Periodic Evolutions Occurring In Your Respective Field Of Work?

As life is a journey of learning and mostly our work teaches us but I believe that, reading does play a prominent role in one's evolution. I like to indulge myself in the books of authors like Shiv Khera, ChanakyaNeeti, and Sales Habits of Winners and the list is never-ending. And yes the EPSM of IIM Lucknow has helped to tone the Sales person in me and I do take exclusive pride in being alumni of IIM Lucknow.

What Would Be Your Advice To Young Women And Girls Who Also Aspire To Become Business Leaders And Entrepreneurs In The Future?

Quite a lot of women I see are scared of stepping into it and pursuing their dreams. To be true, even I was skeptical when I started in 2008. But once I did it, it was like the perfect career I could have asked for. Women can be and are excellent industry persons as they are quite adept at multitasking. We all know about Indira Nooyi and her life story about how she went on her journey being the CEO of Pepsico but at the same time, she was still a wife, mother, and daughter fulfilling all her roles beautifully.

Like KapilDev said during the 1983 world cup "Taste success once, tongue wants more". Therefore, my advice for the upcoming generation of women will be, "Never Give Up and Never Lose Hope''.
