Sharda Yadav has completed her schooling at various Kendriya Vidyalaya’s across India as she was a daughter of an Indian Naval Officer and completed her graduation from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU). She has an attitude towards learning which can come from anyone from her team, her family & friends, or for that matter someone unknown. She joined her husband in the business and became CEO of the company in the year 2012 and since then her hard work has brought many laurels to the company.

Take Us Through Your Early Education And Your Prior Industry Experiences.

As my father was a Naval Officer, he used to get transferred every four to five years and I had to complete my education from different corners of the country. My early schooling was from Kendriya Vidyalaya Mumbai, my senior secondary schooling was from Kendriya Vidyalaya Port Blair, and later I got selected for my BTech in TNAU, Coimbatore.

After my marriage, I started assisting my husband where I learned how to handle family and business together. After learning from all the failures and successes, I joined my husband in his office as the CEO of the company in the year 2012. After taking charge as the CEO, the company revenue increased many folds with all the hard work of me with my team as we grabbed many contracts public and private and this boosted my confidence in doing things on my own.

What Motivated You To Establish L Factor Cosmetics? Tell Us About The Underlying Idea Behind The Company And Some Of Its Most Unique Features.

The idea of the L factor came to me during the hard times of Covid when we were forced to sit at home. In all my free time, I started analyzing the change in my skin while I was using some makeup products which made my skin dry and dull. This forced me to learn about the ingredients of the products and to my surprise, none of the products were infused with skin benefit ingredients instead, all were chemical-based. My daughter gave me the required push with her one liner saying- Why don’t you do it? which I think I was waiting for to get into the cosmetic industry.

The unique features of our products and company are that all our makeup products are infused with skincare ingredients. We use organic and natural plant derived ingredients, and no harmful chemicals in the product, resulting in high-performing quality products. To contribute back to society and mother earth, my brand supports child education, stray animal support, and tree plantation by using 1% of our annual revenue.

What Are The Various Responsibilities On Your Shoulder And What Is Your Primary Focus Area In Terms Of Leading Your Company?

The most important responsibility is managing my team, motivating my team with the brand vision, networking, finance, and ensuring the operation is in goal with the vision. Though, I enjoy my brand, I try to overlook all the departments but I take keen interest in idea formulations and the launch of new products.

What Has Been Your Most Remarkable Achievement So Far And What Is The Driving Force Behind Your Success As A Business Leader?

I have managed to achieve my own identity in the corporate world along with a steady growth in the company revenue, owing to my effective communication, focus, and strategies.

Besides my family support, self-belief, determination, confidence, will to learn and a belief that everything will be good at the end of the day are the few forces that keeps me going.

What Is Your Vision For L Factor Cosmetic’s Growth In The Near Future And What Would Be Your Advice To The Young Women Who Also Aspire To Become An Entrepreneur?

The vision of L factor Cosmetics is to make products that are accessible & infused with all the goodness of skin-loving ingredients. These products can be integrated into the daily routine as early as Six in the morning till late at the night. I want to see L factor as the go-to brand for everyone as we want to make makeup fun where you get to decide your makeup as per your mood and not a process.

My advice to all young women is to be confident, define goals, take action, stay focused, and expect nothing less than success.
