Rekha Dubey
CEO, Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital
The healthcare industry is that pillar of the society that makes big differences in terms of curating a sustainable society and a better tomorrow. It not only strives to create a healthier society they work for but they equally teaches us excellent management skills, co-habitance, how to establish a streamlined work culture and the skill of working with a large workforce. While industries across the globe are giving equal opportunities to women and helping them uplift themselves, the healthcare industry is also not behind in the journey. Contributing more than just healthcare services to patients, Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital is also focusing on offering equal opportunities to skilled women in their organization and is working with the aim to augment the quality of lives of millions.
1. Take Us Through The Offerings And The Major Features Of Your Hospital's Work Culture.
Founded in 2006, Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital is a 500-bedded hospital spread across 16 acres of land, out of which 13 acres are used by the hospital and the rest three acres are dedicated for staff quarters used by essential services providers and administrators of the hospital. We want them to be prompt in offering services to our patients at all times and thus we prefer them staying in close proximity. This is also a reason for us to be the pioneers in hiring doctors as full-timers.
Our offerings are wide-ranged including neurology, gynecology, cardiovascular treatments, and gastronomy to name just a few. We specialize in organ transplant surgeries including liver transplant and we also offer services including psychiatry, acute care and tertiary care. You name the medical care you need, and we have it for you.
2. What Makes Your Hospital Special And Better Than The Other Healthcare Givers?
Our hospital is located at Pimpri-Chinchwad, Pune in the western Indian state of Maharashtra. We are a multi-speciality quaternary care hospital. I take pride in saying that we are Maharashtra’s first National Accreditation Board for hospital JCI & NABH accredited hospital. Along with that Aditya Birla Memorial Hospital is also India’s first HACCP and ISO : 2200:2005 certified hospital.
Our team gives utmost importance in maintaining the highest standard of care to our patients. Providing state-of-the-art and top-notch quality services is where our focus lies. Being cost-effective and helping masses from all communities to live a healthy life is what drives us to work harder. Our approach towards adopting new-age technologies with rapidity to offer our patients a premium experience also makes us a class apart.
“We focus on improving the skills of people working with us and give the right boost to care-giving processes”
3. How Do You Think The Organization Benefits From Having A Diverse And Balanced Workforce?
Most of our departments are headed by women and they excel in their operations and results. The female to male ratio in the workforce of our organization is higher than most other industries. We work relentlessly to offer unmatched value to our customers, shareholders, employees and society at large. Our aim is to become partners in health promotion with every section of society.
We value talent and merit and that is our strength. Unity in diversity is what we vouch for. Women employees in Aditya Birla are given a safe environment to work in. We take care of our employees as family members, take care of their well-being thus helping them offer the best services to our patients.
4. What Are The Initiatives Taken By The Company To Improve The Skillsets Of The Employees?
We focus on improving the skills of people working with us and give the right boost to care-giving processes. Our employees are provided with on-job and off job training whenever required. Staying up-to-date and offering unparalleled healthcare services is our priority. Quality checks of the departments and their operations are done regularly and any glitches, if noticed, are taken care of in a timely manner.
