Reema was the first person to join Questmath in 2018 and has played an instrumental role in growing the team across all verticals, including Curriculum, Operations, and Human Resources. Being a Mathematics expert with 18 years of experience in different domains of the industry, Reema is an honors degree holder in Mathematics from Lady Shri Ram College, and then she pursued her Masters in Mathematics from IIT Delhi.

Before joining Questmath Reema worked in prestigious institutions like Xseed and Vedantu. She developed and experimented with numerous programs on her own, all of which eventually fit with her thought process of using technology to simplify teaching. What Are Your Various Roles &Responsibilities As The Curriculum Head And How Do You Overcome The Challenges Related To It?

I am a Mathematics enthusiast/expert with over 18 years of industry experience in many verticals such as entrepreneurship, leadership, management, ed-tech, teaching, curriculum, content, customer acquisition/satisfaction, and so on. As someone who has been exposed to technology, I was drawn to investigate how the digitalization of this industry may increase interest among children, prevent mugging, and better reach impoverished students. I am currently heading the curriculum and tutor operations in my current organization.

As someone who has worked on their own business, I have delved into all of the challenges that a startup experiences. Ensuring that your curriculum and content are adequately aligned with target markets around the world is a difficult task. Collaboration, a desire to adopt new standards, and the COVID era have all compelled people to use technology by default, it was difficult to persuade people to use technology sooner.

I graduated with honors in mathematics from Lady Shri Ram College and went on to IIT-Delhi for my post-graduate studies in mathematics. Post education, I began my work as a mathematics instructor at DPS there, I learned about student psychology for more than seven years. As a curriculum planner for SreeEducare, I began to look into content development. Following that, I joined the ed-tech startup Vedantu as a member of the core team, focusing on academics.

In 2018, I discovered another venture, Questmath International, with which I believe my beliefs and goals are compatible. I joined the core team of this Singapore-based firm, where I was in charge of content and curriculum. I was not only instrumental in the establishment of a physical centre in Bangalore, but also in onboarding and training the team.

What Are Some Of The Most Significant Career Milestones You've Reached? What Has Been The Driving Force To Your Business Success?

Every baby step I've taken, whether it's choosing mathematics as my core field, entering the education domain, staying as a teacher for eight years, taking a maternity break for myself and my family, returning to ed-tech without losing touch with teaching, working as a consultant, teaching globally in my venture for two years, re-joining a startup and more, has been a milestone for me. My driving factor has always been my desire to make a difference rather than accept the status quo.

What Motivated You In The Field Of Education? Tell Us About Your Areas Of Expertise In The Field Of Education. How Do You Foresee The Education Landscape Evolving In Near Future?

I'm not suggesting that grades aren't essential, but if you comprehend concepts, you'll be able to score higher and have a better chance of passing difficult competitions later on in your career. This process inspired me to enter the sector and make a difference. I'm skilled at breaking down any educational problem statement into smaller chunks and then treating those chunks with a focus on child psychology, simplification to improve understandability, and assuring adherence to required standards. Ed-tech is the future of education, where the merging of education and technology has lowered the obstacles to learning, allowing any student in any part of the world to have desired information at their fingertips.

Individual and organizational success are both supported by trust, which is developed through time and needs a set of specific behaviours such as dedication, honesty, consistency, and competence. Take every assignment you've been given as a challenge, learn about it, set a deadline to complete it, and give your best. Respect and listen to other people's viewpoints, and acknowledge them if you agree with them.
