With nearly 18 years of exclusive experience in marketing, my professional trajectory encompasses diverse sectors. Originating from the shipping industry, I subsequently dedicated a decade to e-learning before joining Kale Logistics Solutions, a product-centric company specializing in sophisticated IT solutions for global airports and ports, where I have been for approximately eight years. Engaged in international marketing, my focus lies in leveraging communication and marketing strategies. Over two decades in the industry, I have witnessed the substantial evolution of communication and marketing, embracing both conventional and modern approaches. Having navigated various sectors, I've keenly observed the evolving role of women in this domain. On the educational front, I hold a management degree with a marketing specialization and completed a program at IIM Calcutta. My professional summary underscores leadership qualities and acute marketing skills. Marketing, for me, is a dynamically stimulating domain, offering the freedom to experiment with unconventional ideas and shape markets, brands, and identities. The satisfaction derived from being a creator in this field, coupled with early success and a recognized aptitude, solidified my commitment. I continue to thrive in marketing, consistently finding fulfilment in its ever-evolving landscape.

I have traversed a diverse professional landscape, having contributed my expertise to the shipping, e-learning, and IT industries. My experience spans both well-established organizations and nascent startups, where I've had the unique opportunity to initiate and establish marketing teams. My journey has exposed me to the evolution of marketing departments and their pivotal role in organizational growth. Upon joining Kale Logistics Solutions, I started as the sole marketer, and now we've grown to a team of 10, collaborating with 10- 15 specialized vendors. This expansion continues as we look to further multiply our impact. The cumulative experience gained from diverse setups, coupled with my focused international market exposure, has equipped me with a valuable repertoire of best practices. This wealth of knowledge enables me to effectively apply insights from each sector to my current role.

Kale Logistics Solutions is a product company specializing in intricate and unified systems for the logistics industry. Our IoT products include comprehensive commodity systems and enterprise automation systems tailored for logistics, airports, ports, government projects, large forwarding companies, and airlines involved in cross-border trade. With a global footprint, our cargo community systems pioneered over a decade ago, have become integral to processing cargo at over 100 airports and ports worldwide. We played a pivotal role in advocating for technology adoption and promoting digitization within the logistics sector. Today, with 5500 clients across 35 countries and 10 global offices, our diverse portfolio offers modular, cloud-based solutions, ensuring business continuity even during the challenges of the pandemic. From a marketing standpoint, we have effectively positioned ourselves as industry thought leaders, emphasizing the importance of digitization for seamless global logistics movement and ensuring our solutions are widely recognized and adopted.
As a marketing leader in today's business climate, what do you see as the most critical challenges, and how do you overcome them for success?
Our marketing strategy goes beyond promoting products; it involves educating clients about solution benefits. The challenge is tailoring messages for different enterprise levels, with executives focusing on profitability, mid-level management on strategy, and end-users on productivity. Catering to a global audience with diverse concerns requires customization. To address this, we use a multifaceted approach, including conventional methods like events and PR, and non-conventional methods like influencer marketing, social media, and targeted Google ads. This diverse strategy helps us effectively communicate and overcome challenges in reaching a global audience.
How do you anticipate the marketing landscape in India evolving, and which industry trends do you expect to have the most impact in the coming years?
Marketing is increasingly influenced by AI, which is expected to significantly impact every industry. Being AI-enabled is crucial for competitiveness. In Kale Logistics Solutions, we've started incorporating AI insights from both industry and external sources, focusing on consumer behaviour and sustainability trends. Aligning marketing with sustainability is crucial as the industry shifts in that direction. In India, marketing benchmarks are commendable and comparable to Europe and North America. Our European and American partners seek advice, highlighting our industry-leading position.
