What are the various responsibilities you shoulder as the Managing Director at Olive Green Immigration?
I take on a range of duties to guarantee our accomplishments and the contentment of our customers. I keep up with changes in immigration laws to give accurate information, and I make investments in cutting-edge technology to expedite the application process. We need to expand our service offerings; therefore, I create specialist services for areas and industries with strong demand. I also cultivate strategic alliances with government agencies, business associations, and academic institutions to keep myself updated and have a constructive impact on policy developments. My responsibility is to make sure our clients obtain their immigration objectives and receive the best possible service.
What are some of the most critical challenges you encounter in your current role? How do you overcome these roadblocks?
A significant barrier is navigating immigration laws that are always changing. To overcome this, I stay informed, make investments in my professional growth, and work with legal specialists. Another problem we face as our clientele grows is continuing to provide top-notch service. To address this, I have implemented scalable procedures and aggressively solicited client feedback. It is necessary to create local alliances and offer cultural orientation training to manage the cultural disparities between Indian clientele and Canadian institutions.
Tell us about the most critical professional milestone you have achieved throughout your professional journey.
Being picked as an army officer, which was an extremely tough process where I was one of only 50 girls chosen out of thousands of contestants, was one of the most important professional accomplishments in my career. Getting selected for one of India's top management schools, IIM Ahmedabad, and earning an international license as a professional immigration adviser was another win for me.
How do you foresee the Canadian immigration landscape evolving going forward?
As more immigrants are needed to support the Canadian economy, I see the immigration landscape changing to accommodate more of them. Canada needs a constant flow of immigrants to support its growing economy, and I believe the immigration processes will be streamlined to welcome a larger number of immigrants in the coming years.
As more immigrants are needed to support the Canadian economy, I see the immigration landscape changing to accommodate more of them. Canada needs a constant flow of immigrants because of its low birth rate and aging population. The main factor driving population increase will be immigration by 2030 when 9 million baby boomers will reach retirement age.
There are orderly routes for people to relocate to Canada due to its well-managed immigration system. Up to 500,000 permanent residents are expected to be admitted to Canada each year, with a heavy emphasis on economic immigration, as per the Immigration Levels Plan for 2024–2026. People with advanced degrees, carers, and those taking part in experimental projects fall into this category. Further important facets of Canada's immigration policy will include family reunification and refugee protection.
