Prathyusha Engineering College (PEC) is the brainchild of Shri. P.Raja Rao, the Founder-Chairman of the college. The college, which is based out of Thiruvallur, Chennai is a pioneering Engineering Institution. PEC has grown in several dimensions from just a meager strength of 240 Students in 4 Undergraduate Courses of study in the Millennium Year. PEC now has around 2000 students from all over the Country in 9 Undergraduate, 4 Post Graduate and Ph.D. (CSE, ECE) Courses and programmes and more than 200 devoted and dedicated members of Senior faculty. PEC maintains a high standard in engineering and technical education by providing a wide array of world-class academic facilities. 1. Captain, Can You Talk More About The Learning Culture At Prathyusha Engineering College?
Our institute is headed and administered by some of the top educators and professional experts in the country including Mr.Charan Teja -Vice Chairman, Ms. Prathyusha ­ CEO, Shri.Sai Ram Vasu ­Advisor , Dr. B.R. Ramesh Bapu ­ Principal Capt. RG. Thayakaran ­ Director -Training, Placement and Student Affairs who are assisting and supporting the Chairman in his noble mission of achieving excellence in Engineering Education.

Apart from this, PEC also has highly qualified and experienced faculty members and thus creating an ambiance quite congenial and conducive to imparting quality education. PEC has more than 25 PhDs on the faculty from IITs and Anna University and the members of the PEC faculty have contributed more than 50 papers in International Journals. Prathyusians are second to none in the country in the field of academics. Our students have always secured top University Ranks and more than 200 students have won Gold Medals in various branches of Engineering and Management studies in the Anna University examinations. We have multiple missions including a) Women Empowerment ­ The college emphasizes the need to bring out the best in each girl student studying in our college.

We aim at uplifting the Women students in all aspects by providing them Technical, computer education, specialized placement orientation training through various skill training programs at par with the gentleman students. More than 60% of the students, faculty and administrative staff are women. The CEO Ms. Prathyusha is a symbol and embodiment of Women empowerment who with her able and efficient administration and concern for each girl student, women faculty takes the college to a greater height of glory. 3. Captain, How Are You Ensuring That You Are Offering Industry-Oriented Education To Your Students?
We have faculty who offer the quality education to our students and we also have mentoring system that help our students to reach their true potential. We train and groom the students and help them become industry ready. Besides from offering top-notch education, we also train our students to develop the all-round personality and enhance their employability skills. We at Prathyusha, strongly believe in the Japanese adage "Give a man a fish, he can survive for a day, teach a man how to fish, he can survive his lifetime". We ensure that our students are trained in Soft skills, Aptitude and Technical subjects and by providing the perfect blend of practical and theoretical education, we are able to make our students industry ready. Our students are also exposed to guest lecturers from industry professionals, and we also do mandatory internships and industrial visits so that they get to know more about the work culture of the industry.

4.  As Director P&T, How Are You Ensuring That Students Are Getting Placed And Can You Name Some Of The Companies That Are Regular Recruiters Of Your Students?
We in the Department of Training, Placement and Students Affairs systematically make an action plan to impart various Training Programs, organizing Internships and Industrial Visits to reputed Industry. We also organize Technical training inviting Professionals from time to time supported by the members of faculty and thus enhance their employability skills for their entry into higher package MNCs and Core Industries. 98% of our 2019 - 2020 batch interested students got placement in various reputed companies like Infosys, CTS, TCS, Tech Mahindra, Wipro Technologies, HCL, Anglo Eastern Ship Management, IBM India Pvt Ltd, Harita Techserv Ltd, Excelacom Technologies, American Mega Trends, Kaar Technologies, Kumaran Systems, Vembu Technologies, Kanini Software, HTC Global Services India Pvt Ltd, Zifo Technologies, Data Pattern, TVS Sundaram Group of Companies, Bonfiglioli Transmissions, Hochtief India Pvt LTD,  Visionary RCM Infotech, Domex E data Pvt Ltd, JBM Group, Stanadyne India Pvt Ltd, CSS CorpLtd, S10 Health care, Sutherland etc..

PEC has the unique credit of signing more than 25 MOUs so far and some of the firms with which PEC signed MOUs include IBM for Career Education, Microsoft for Technical Training and Job opportunites, Haritha Tech Serv for skill training like CATIA & DELMIA, Launch Pad for Learning foreign Languages like German, Japanese and Chinese. Apart from that, we also have MoU with INFOSYS Technologies for Campus Connect Programmes, Collaborations with Technologies System for i-Carnegie Robotics Programme, MoU with NIWE under MNRE & Tamilnadu Science & Technology Centre, MoU with National Instruments for LabVIEW Academy, MoU with Central Leather Research Institute, MoU with West Minister University, UK, Microsoft Student Partner (MSP), MoU with DELL, and MoU with ORACLE Campus for Training and Development to name a few.
