Give us a brief overview of Mumbai Residential Properties and its foundation journey.
Mumbai Residential Properties primarily provides real estate consulting and advisory services. We assist individuals and businesses in making the best choices and decisions for their real estate needs. As a professional consultant, we assist clients with Real Estate Consultation and Management based on their preferences. We assist our customers in the purchase, sale, investment, rental, and lease of real estate by guiding them through the entire process. We also provide detailed information on the real estate markets. Our goal is to make the real estate process as simple as possible.
Real estate as a business came as a fortune to me; I never had a family-oriented business into real estate. But, after conducting research on the real estate markets in Mumbai and realizing the growing demand for homes as well as the income revenues that the business provides, I was convinced that I would excel in the real estate business as a professional and founded Mumbai Residential Properties.
Take us through your early educational journey and prior industry experience. How was the seed sown for your affinity towards entrepreneurship?
When I look back, entrepreneurship has been deep routed in my genes. From a very young age I wanted to be a business woman. My late father was a very successful business man. Whenever I visited his office, I used to sit in his chair and dream of becoming a business leader myself. It’s all about believing in the successful mindset and enjoying the entrepreneurial route. So I guess this attitude of being self reliant and being financially independent was rooted in me since I was young.
I got married when I was in the second year of completing B.Com. I was happily settled as a homemaker until life put us in a financial setback and that’s when I stepped out to build a career to help my family in times of need.
Tell us about the services spearheaded by Mumbai Residential Properties. In what way do these services help consumers make better real estate decisions?
A client at Mumbai Residential Properties receives professional help in buying, selling, investing, and leasing the property. We assist property purchasers from the beginning to the end of their home hunt. Then, using our database, we highlight the top properties and schedule a site visit for them, as well as assist them with property registration and documentation. We also assist NRI’s in investing in Indian real estate and guide them through the process.
“Our leadership mantra is setting a clear focus on quality, value and service. Our business is customer centric. Meeting time deadlines is also very crucial for us, therefore mindfulness and focus is the key to our real estate business”
We believe in complete transparency and honesty at work. We place great value on customer satisfaction, so we take the time to learn about their needs in depth and then filter out the best options from the market based on their budget.
As the CEO of the firm how do you drive growth within the organization? What is your leadership mantra? How has Mumbai Residential Properties’s growth journey been so far?
As the CEO, I am constantly strategizing, coming up with innovative methods, generating property inventories, lining up meetings with varied corporate profiles and individuals to gather their property requirements and also concluding business transactions.
Our leadership mantra is setting a clear focus on quality, value and service. Our business is customer centric. Meeting time deadlines is also very crucial for us, therefore mindfulness and focus is the key to our real estate business.
Our company operations have grown at an exponential rate. We began just as a hub of specialization in the Bandra and Khar markets, and gradually we have expanded along the western lines. Today for any residential requirements between South Mumbai and Borivli, we carry our expertise for the same. Think Big! Think Real Estate! Think ‘Mumbai Residential Properties’.
Leadership, in my opinion, is not about titles or positions, but rather about consciously motivating and empowering others. Keeping this approach, we held a non-profit initiative and provided value to the real estate fraternity during a difficult time of pandemic. It was an online event where we had real estate consultants participate from all over India for several masterclasses and some of the finest digital trainers curated detailed real estate digital learnings There was a lot of knowledge exchange along with networking on this platform and the same was very impactful.
How do you strike a balance between your work and home life? What would you advice women aspiring to become leaders and venture out on their own?
For me it's not about balance but about juggling it all. This comes easy as I plan my day well in advance. My home and business are my top priorities, I schedule my day so that I can focus and give my all with complete mindfulness. I have my support staff well in place and therefore I can easily manage enough time to devote to both family and business.
My passions also include meditation, listening to music, transformation coaching and lots of reading. A woman is a multitasker by nature. I advise that you set clear goals and a vision for what you want to achieve. Don't underestimate your abilities just because you're a woman. With courage and a sharp focus, face the challenges that come your way. Find your solutions and keep walking – some day you will be under shining bright stars!!
