How Did You Get Into Entrepreneurship In The Niche Of Career Counseling?

I believe that without ambition, one starts nothing and without work, one finishes nothing. I didn’t realize that my calling and ambition lies around transforming lives until people started approaching me. For long years, I had been working in the education industry - helping students with placements and more. Apart from my profession, I was also a go-to person for my family and friends for career advice and interview preparation. That’s when I realized that helping people to choose the right career and live a happy life was my innate desire. That exposure, fortunately, turned me into what I am today.

As I helped students with their job placements, I noticed that students often seemed disinterested in their courses after completion. Also, people were not in-line with accelerated developments in education, causing the students to lag behind in career opportunities and trends. I realized that a career decides a person’s life and it has to be fixed at an early stage. I slowly began to take this as my profession and acquired knowledge. In my attempt to assist students in excelling at their careers, I strive to enhance their academic capabilities and offer multiple pathways to pursue the right courses.

Were There Any Challenges You Faced Initially? If So, How Did You Overcome Them?

As a person with huge self-belief and unshakable optimism, I took every stumbling block on my way as a constructive opportunity. I did come across a few hurdles during the initial days of my career. Firstly, the space itself is tough to be in because people don’t realize the need. Even in the fast-paced 21st century, people feel that a rank holder’s advice or any elder’s suggestion is enough. Much often, strategic career planning is on the back burner. People forget that a career can make or break their future. The moment of “we need help” will sneak up unannounced but it will be too late then.

My strategy is to simplify the daunting process of choosing a career and providing a structured path for students, fresh graduates, and working professionals. Though this path depends on multiple factors including interests, passion, strengths, skills, budgets, etc; I & my team ensure to lead the students towards their chosen careers and realize their goals. My years of experience in the industry, up-to-date knowledge on career trends, understanding of recruitment demands, and problem-solving techniques equips me for promoting and nurturing career growth.
