Take Us Through Your Early Education Journey And Prior Industry Experience That You Bring To The Table. What Motivated You To Fancy The Automotive Field As A Business Leader?

I did my schooling across Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Udaipur and bachelors and masters in bengaluru. I hold an MBA from IBA in Bengaluru, with dual specializations in marketing and finance. Before launching my own business, I worked across varied companies, including Axis Bank, Reliance Securities, Group M, and PVR Group, to mention a few. As the automotive business is a male-dominated profession, I was eager to take on the challenge. And with the initial guidance and constant support from Founder & CEO, Ankur Vijay Sachan I started my  journey with Carjax in order to break the norm and demonstrate that women can pursue a career in vehicle detailing with outstanding outcomes.

What Are The Various Roles & Responsibilities That You Currently Shoulder At CARJAX AUTO CARE? What Are Some Of The Most Challenging Aspects Of Your Role As The Director? How Do You Overcome Them?

As a co-founder, I take care of relations, accounts, goods and innovations, logistics, new product launches, planning, strategies, and negotiation. It is difficult for a woman to break into any segments of the automobile business. Acceptance doesn’t come easily. I overcome by not just being well aware of the nuances of automobile detailing but developing expertise in certain cases.

Tell Us About The Varied Expertise That You Possess As A Business Leader. What Strategies Or Tools Do You Leverage To Drive Growth Within The Organization?

Being disciplined, self-motivated with a never-say-die attitude has definitely helped me. My exposure in a variety of sectors has aided me in establishing a solid foundation in the automobile business. At CARJAX, we make it a point to delegate responsibilities rather than just assign duties. Accountability from each member and understanding their pulse is a critical but sometimes overlooked part. We ensure that our staff are well-versed in carrying out operations and are always been receptive to employee's thoughts & opinions.

What Have Been The Most Significant Milestones That You Have Achieved So Far In Your Professional Journey? What Is Your Guiding Leadership Philosophy?

There are many but what I treasure the most is that we have never lost a client. I was named one of the best performers in PAN India while working at Axis Bank. At Group M, I exceeded my goals by up to 140 percent. I was one among the highest achievers in PVR. We have come a long way starting from just 7000 rupees as a door step detailer in the year 2017, to developing a prominent franchise with our own portfolio of products manufactured indigenously. I firmly adhere to a piece of advice provided to me by one of our clients at Axis Banks: 'Never look down on yourself regardless of what others think.' If you need to transact business or make a deal, cut over and meet the top management personnel rather than waiting since your time and thoughts are valuable’.

How Do You Keep Yourself Well Aligned With The Periodic Evolution Occurring Within Your Respective Field Of Work?

The COVID-driven epidemic has taught everyone a valuable lesson: be open to change in order to bring about the necessary breakthroughs. It is critical to stay current with shifting client needs and trends. We are always updating ourselves in order to keep in sync with the changing dynamics of the automobile business. I plan to to further up skill myself in automobile care and associated technology soon in order to integrate fresh ideas into CARJAX.

As A Successful Businesswoman What Would Your Advice Be To Young Women And Girls Aspiring To Become Business Leaders And Entrepreneurs In The Future?

The fundamental component is knowing what one truly wants to do with one's life by being focused on oneself as an individual. You may be a daughter, sister, wife, daughter-in-law, mother, and many other things, but you are first and foremost ‘you’. Being you will invariably add beauty and charm to all the role one plays in life. A woman shapes her family and she can equally well shape a business: we are natural multitaskers and we can use it to our advantage. Be obstinate, and if the occasion calls for it, selfish. Be yourself and don't be distracted by the daily and inconsequential dramas of life. Life is short, make it worthwhile, break the shackle of stereotypes. If your heart is into it, then nothing else will matter. Learn to keep yourself updated. Seek help when required. Just tune into your dreams and bring them into real world.
