Can you share your previous industry experience and how it has contributed to your development as a proficient business leader today?

Having grown up and studied in France, I have been residing in Switzerland for over 18 years. During this time, I embarked on a successful banking career. However, I made a significant decision to redirect my focus toward my own ventures instead of continuing with an investment bank. In 2018, I established my first consultancy company, KAYHAN Swiss. Drawing on my entrepreneurial spirit, I took a momentous step in 2021 by becoming the proud owner of Sasit Lab, where we have curated a diverse portfolio of distinctive renewable energy innovations, such as 2G bioethanol production under the brand LIYF, carbon fiber recycling, hydrogen storage materials, antibacterial coatings for various materials, and more. Throughout my professional journey, I have had the privilege of leading teams, overseeing financial projections, and engaging directly with CEOs. I consider myself fortunate to have been entrusted with such responsibilities. What sets me apart is my innate drive to continually generate fresh ideas and my fearlessness in implementing and exploring them. I embrace risk as an opportunity for growth and innovation.

Introduce us to Sasit Lab and its primary areas of expertise. What inspired the establishment of this venture?

Sasit Lab, also known as Sasan Innovation & Technologies, is a Swiss research institute comprising a diverse team of over 40 scientists, engineers, and experts from various disciplines. Our core mission is to proactively develop future-oriented solutions, focusing on sustainable building materials, renewable energies, carbon fiber recycling, and hydrogen storage, all of which are backed by our unique patented innovations. With a team consisting of highly skilled specialists in their respective fields and utilizing advanced technologies, we surpass the capabilities of major players in each project we undertake. We firmly believe that by taking action now, we can make a significant positive impact on the world.

In your perspective, what are some of the most daunting aspects of being an entrepreneur in the sustainable and innovative technology sector? How do you tackle these challenges?

Being an entrepreneur in the sustainable and innovative technology sector comes with various challenges, including technological intricacies, regulatory navigation, securing adequate funding, and achieving market acceptance. To overcome these obstacles, entrepreneurs should conduct comprehensive research, collaborate with experts and industry partners, establish strategic networks, embrace continuous learning and adaptability, demonstrate value and scalability, engage in advocacy and policy discussions, and assemble a diverse team. Moreover, it is crucial to maintain an unwavering belief in the idea and never give up. The entrepreneurial journey can be lonely and arduous, but it brings immense satisfaction when milestones are achieved, projects are realized, and positive contributions are made to society.

My personal mantra revolves around perceiving every obstacle as a valuable stepping stone on the path to achieving greater heights. Instead of being discouraged by challenges, I embrace them as opportunities for growth, learning, and ultimately, the realization of my goals. This mindset empowers me to persevere, adapt, and discover creative solutions in the face of adversity.

I attribute my sense of accomplishment to the fact that every day I work towards what brings me happiness. I genuinely love what I do, and I am immensely grateful for my business partner, Sina Novin, who has never lost faith in me and my ideas. Together, we strive for success and make a positive impact on the world.
