What motivated you to become an entrepreneur? How are your previous experiences helping you in your current role?

Entrepreneurship came to me very naturally; I started my career building my father’s practice, so, I always had entrepreneurial qualities in bed with me. What Singapore did was polish my skills from a global perspective. This has also been the reason that I grew so quickly in my previous role in Dubai. I always assume responsibility and I am very passionate about my role as a consultant. I do believe that as doctors care for their patients, we as Chartered Accountants, assess businesses with utmost dedication as our advice can make or break our clients’ businesses. My customers know that once I have taken up a job, I will ensure that it is done in the most professional manner and their compliances are my responsibility. My global experience of working with diversified nationalities gave me a lot of exposure which has helped me to define myself as an individual, wherein I can manage, mentor, and lead people in a very different way.

Tell us about the differentiating factors of Corporate Group. What are your primary focus areas for the long-term growth of the company?

We are a one-stop solution boutique firm. From cradle to grave, we provide a complete range of services that a company requires to grow; right from starting the company formation for companies, to licensing, drafting MOA, auditing, VAT registration, and all compliances like VAT, ESR, UBO, AML, Corporate Tax, and more, to the liquidation of a company. We also help them with financial assessment from creating their valuation reports to forming Information memorandums. Our team is built up of experienced professionals coming from the Big Four who excel in building relationships with clients globally and effectively meeting their business needs. Our focus is our people; I want our team to grow with us in the long run. We focus on building a career path for our team, as we believe if our people are happy, they will make customers happy and ultimately make the organization grow organically. Within a short span of time, we have been very successful in acquiring the partnership of many global companies and building networks that have helped the corporate group grow tremendously.

How has UAE been treating you? Did you face any challenges as a woman while building the business?

Challenges? Not really. The people of UAE have been extremely accepting and supportive. I have been very blessed in terms of customers and colleagues who believe in me and respect my knowledge about the business. Consulting conventionally was very male dominant but I have always received very positive responses and have gone above and beyond to support me. Customers have seen my hard work and dedication in business; it is not an easy decision for businesses to shift their consulting preferences from the Big 4 or large consulting firms who they have been associated with 25 years+ to a boutique firm like ours but I have been successful so far with God’s grace. I feel extremely blessed and fortunate to have people who supported me, move businesses with me, and constantly back me up in my growth journey.

Lead by example and believe in yourself. Your response to a situation will determine your future, my response is always with a smile!
