Pooja Misal, Founder and CEO of BrickETC, had a firm vision in mind when she founded her company in 2021. BrickETC is a promising online learning platform. It was established to bridge the gap between students and online learning.

The concept of experiencing multiple courses before choosing a career was never known before. Recognizing this opportunity, Pooja Misal incepted the idea of the platform. Her vision is simple, to enable every creative student to try different streams before finalizing a career they want. Pooja is a passionate educator who started an educational institute at the age of 24. Pooja Misal was felicitated for her incredible contribution to the industry at the Higher Education &Edtech Conclave & Awards by Coursera for Campus. Her continuous zest to enrich and enhance education for one and all brings her a lot of recognition from the industry, teachers, and her favourite students!

In an interview with Women Entrepreneur Magazine,Pooja, the CEO shares her insights on the company’s value proposition, her vision and mission, and the way she is revolutionizing online learning in India.

Please elaborate on how you help students in shaping their career using your experience and knowledge in the industry?

We have developed BrickETC. It is an online edtech platform created to spot, stimulate, sensitize, and encourage creative excellence amongst students. It’s a place where we welcome students to be artsy and gutsy, learn and unlearn and have fun while learning! BrickETC aims to provide guidance from field experts to navigate through an array of options in the creative world and make an informed choice based on their experience on the website and app.

We offer 30+ creative courses wherein students can take up any course they like and learn from the experts in the field. The courses includes animation, graphic design, architecture, film making, photography, and fashion designing. It provides an opportunity for students as young as 10 to discover their potential in different areas and to gain some skills.

BrickETC is just the start of an incredible journey for students and teachers all over. My objective is to interact with young minds and help them discover their potential, hone their skills, and maximize their talent.

Today, teachers are able to reach many more students with the tech-integrated education platforms. I believe that students are instinctively learning more with exposure to online learning. As a result, one of the top emerging trends would be a hybrid of offline and online learning, especially for courses that focus on CQ – creative quotient.

Please tell us how have you crafted the courses to align with student’s needs?

The course is designed forstudents from 5th to 12th standards (Any board) and students who wish to acquire new skills and knowledge. The students will gain first-hand experience by taking up the courses and interacting with mentors during the process. It gives you a glimpse into the creative field and as a student, you can proceed into the learning curve with the necessary information and confidence from experience. The counselling session helps detangle and clear your doubts, so you move forward with complete clarity. Every student who chooses BrickETC to kickstart their creative journey will find the right career path and excel in it with confidence and courage.

We aim to help and support students to not only find the right creative course for themselves but also to gain knowledge and skills in various fields that don’t get covered during traditional schooling. BrickETC offers courses like animation, graphic design, architecture, film making, photography, fashion designing, and lots more.

BrickETC is turning a new leaf in creative education for youngsters and inspiring students and parents to discover unique paths to success. I strongly believe the major driving force behind my success is my parents. The guidance and encouragement from them helped me to tread on a path to transform the learning industry in India.

Dr. Pooja is a passionate educator who started an educational institute at the age of 24. Dr.Pooja was felicitated for her incredible contribution to the industry at the Higher Education & Edtech Conclave & Awards by Coursera for Campus. She has earned her MBA from Cardiff in U.K. and is currently pursuing her PhD in education. She has also completed a course in Financial Management for non-profit from the coveted Harvard University. Her first project was at BrickETC Group, which is known for architecture and design. Dr. Pooja is also the Founder of SMEF'S Brick School, one of the most coveted schools for Architecture and design in Maharashtra. Established in 2013, the college has been receiving students with high merit from all over the country. It aims to make the students into holistic Architects and gives them an opportunity to work on socially relevant projects along with quality education.
