Dikshita Verma
Co-Founder & CEO, Enter

It is indeed a fact that organizations with great visions need to hire great people and create an environment for them where they can work on transforming those visions into reality. Dikshita Verma, Co-Founder & CEO, Enter is meeting the increasing need for tech hiring and playing a major role in developing, reinforcing, and changing the culture of organizations. She co-founded Enter, a company specializing in technical recruitment, with a sheer motive of delivering the best technologists to organizations. Her leadership traits include building a work culture of mutual trust, focusing on employee strengths, developing people’s careers, communicating honestly and always being open to new ideas.

Being an empathetic leader, she believes that a company is only as good as the people it keeps and puts great importance on building a rewarding HR experience by understanding what matters most to companies as well as the job seeking engineers. Now, ENTER is also planning its expansion in the coming future in US, Singapore and UK. Over the years, Dikshita has received significant certifications from the United Nations for her exceptional service and is appreciated by organizations for her extraordinary HR skills. Let’s hear it from her.

Taking us through your prior industry experience, tell us what led you to join the HR industry. Also, what is the motive behind establishing Enter?

I have always believed in the potential of humans, their unparalleled desire to bring changes to the world we live in today. My background which includes working with United Nation and other corporates where I have worked around people across the globe has helped me gain significant insights into the art of understanding and knowing people in a workplace. India is one of the top countries in the start-up ecosystem and we also rank 3rd globally in terms of producing the number of unicorns. This certainly leads to a huge propensity of growth in the coming future; there are ample roles to be filled in. Nearly every company is in dire need of tech recruiting firm for support. Hence, with the motive to reinvigorate the existing standard recruitment practices, where both company and candidate feel valued, we established Enter. Humans are and will always be the biggest asset of any organization, therefore we started this company with the thought of creating a HR experience that is more human.

What are the fundamental ideas & tools that you leverage in terms of creating effective HR strategies for clients?

The idea is very simple to be genuine and relevant, with the people, we work with and we work for. Probably, that’s one reason we have been able to collaborate with a lot of well-known companies and startups in India within this span of time. Most of the firms we work with today have known us through recommendations and feedbacks. It’s mandatory to deliver the results and be biased towards action to gain trust and belief among the companies one had always aimed to work with.

What are some of the most pressing challenges that you encounter in your current role? How do you successfully mitigate these challenges?

HR is a constantly changing and evolving industry. There are a lot of variables – economy, market, funding, technology, requirements and of course pandemic too; its crucial to be updated on every new shift in the market. Speaking about the challenges, as a Founder, entrepreneurship undeniably is non-linear, every day you are trying to troubleshoot, avoid getting rejected, figuring out complications and improving upon yourself, your team, balancing your work life. But then this is what I have chosen for myself with all of my consciousness and I love to do this and that’s is only why it’s all worth it in the end. If you want the results, you got to learn to enjoy the process. I make sure I am always surrounded by the ones I can share my mental road blocks and mindset with, I also workout and run outdoors, it does helps (smiles).

“My milestones are the appreciation that i receive from the people whom we are associated with; my team’s happiness, our client’s positive feedbacks, acknowledgments and our candidate’s contentment with their new respective jobs are my driving force”

What are some of the most significant milestones that you have achieved throughout your professional journey?

Being a startup, it has been a challenge to make a position in the market and gain trust of the companies & the candidates. But the fact that we were successfully able to make space in the market and are recognised as valuable, has been our biggest milestone. This has been possible because of the transparency and the fast delivery of the required technologists to the companies, saving time for many involved in the process also believe my milestones are the appreciation that I receive from the people whom we are associated with; my team’s happiness, our client’s positive feedbacks, acknowledgments and our candidate’s contentment with their new respective jobs are my driving force

What would your advice be to young women who also aspire to become business leaders in the future?

Believe in yourself. Do not wait for any external validation, if you strongly feel about your idea, just go for it. Learn from other entrepreneurs who are in the similar space, learn both from their successes and also understand the gaps. There are opportunities everywhere, just try to grab the right one for yourself.
