Tell Us About The Inception Story BVictorious Management Consultancy. How Does This Firm Stand Differentiated Amidst Its Competitors In The Industry?
I have been an HR for around eight years and my last tenure was with a startup Truebil where I was heading the entire HR functions. It was while working there I realized how important HR is for any business entity. Though, it may not be a problem for most MNCs, but when it comes to startups it is a bigger problem as candidates have their own perceptions and are filled with confusions. Also, established HR or Recruitment consultancies hardly take startups into account and take their own time to complete their hiring processes. I saw an opportunity and in 2018, we started BVictorious with the major objective to understand the Indian startup and help them grow. It's the human resources which helps an organization grow along with the strategy.
BVictorious Management Consultancy understands that resources are the stanchions of any organization, and thus penetrating through the challenges encountered in sourcing good candidates is dedicated to building a value of faith, morality and transparency with clients and growing together. Our expertise is into startup hiring and we work for it diligently doing a lot of market mappings, and analysis on what type of resources an organization needs.
Adhering to the end-to-end process of recruitment and doing follow-up religiously with the clients, we give proper feedback to candidate's concerning their selection or rejection factors, which many consultancies fail to do. Making a note of the shortfalls of our previous candidatures we ensure to improvise it significantly for later line-ups.
Delineating Your Roles & Responsibilities At The Firm, Mention About Some Of The Challenges That You Encountered During Your Journey With BVictorious.
I do everything at the company, right from being a marketing person to being an invoice delivery person (in case my clients require it to be hand delivered) to taking care of the finances and indulging in the recruitment processes.
Workwise some of the main challenges that we have encountered is dealing with clients who are unsure of their exact requirements. Secondly, candidate turndowns of job offers from startups (even with 100 percent hikes) as their scepticism overpowers their thoughts about that particular company's growth trajectories is another challenge. Understanding HR is difficult and complicated, but then we need to have a backup plan ready analysing the candidate's willingness and probability of accepting the offer, using our own metrics and statistical judgements.
“Being female, we overthinking and feel apologetic about several things considering `what if and not' factors. My advice to aspiring women leaders is to stop doing so and taking charge of your dreams & passion, be it a success or failure, it's going to be your own”
We have worked with some of the unicorns, mid-sized companies including mini startups & evolving startups like MyGate and others. While it was a one woman army at the beginning, BVictorious today is a team of 12.
What Are The Different Facets Of Your Personality And Leadership Style That Have Helped The Company Propel Itself Further In Its Growth Journey?
I started learning some important business lessons right from my management degree & internship days. Being in the HR industry I did understand that every resource in an organization holds a significance and not anyone can just replace another person. Also working under some of the people prior, I have realized that one cannot domineer leadership without being open for discussions. One has to be really open with all employees, and colleagues to make things work effectively.
At BVictorious, we have an open door policy and leadership approach. Be it an intern or a senior manager, anyone can walk in and speak to us; we give equal importance to everybody. If you have given a responsibility to any of your employees, the authority should follow up. When it comes to my leadership, I am empathetic, but at the same time, stern too when required.
How Do You Keep Yourself Abreast With The Trends Or The Changes Happening In The Recruitment Consultancy Industry?
It's critical to stay updated in today's world, and we do so by staying abreast with the latest technology as it especially proves necessary for us in terms of Tech and IT hiring. My team and I need to be aware of it in order to source the right clients with updated technology requirements.
Secondly, seeing how the organization work and the entire hierarchy has evolved, we also not look for monopoly form of hiring, instead give equal priority to every role's hiring. Thirdly, as clients today only value quality of work instead of face value we ensure to stay true to such approach by delivering quality candidate prospects. Doing things favourably for both clients and candidates' growth, we strive to serve the startup HR industry well enough.
