In today’s contemporary digitized world, digital marketing is one significant tool that can have tangible impact on business outcomes. Companies today understand the importance of effective brand-building and emotional touch. In order to catch consumer’s attention, these services are being imbibed into products & services quite decisively. There’s no doubt that the axiom lies in experience in terms of marketing, but today the competition is based on several factors in the space like- art & science, creative & big data, digital & traditional, mass & targeted, salience & optimised, and emotion & information as they collectively define the strategy to be implied.
It indeed is a complex journey to become a leader in the digital marketing field. But, with that being said, the industry has witnessed many women rise up the ranks to become influential thought leaders & trailblazers in the digital marketing realm. The Women Entrepreneur magazine is thrilled to have interviewed one such stalwart women leader, Anuratti Vidyarrthi, Founderof Digital Raindrop, a digital marketing agency. Below are the excerpts of her professional expertise and entrepreneurial stint to venturing in the industry.
Tell us about your venture digital raindrop. What motivated you to establish a company that creates and aggrandizes a brand’s value and positioning in the market?
Digital Raindrop is a one-stop digital marketing agency that assists businesses (small and medium) to grow big and bigger using all the advanced digital marketing tools- right from creating a website to marketing it and generating quality business leads. Having over three years of experience and accomplishing dozens of successful projects, the company excels in Branding, Web Design, SocialMedia, Online Reputation Management and Search Engine Optimization.
I am a Commerce graduate from Delhi University, however, during that time I simultaneously pursued Chartered Accountancy. But soon after dedicating almost three to four years to it, I realized that it wasn’t really my cup of tea. I decided to switch to some other industry or field, and that’s when coincidentally a friend running a website blog approached me to help her with the website backend and social media management. Getting to know that it’s actually a well-paying field, I let go off my C.A ambitions and switched to Digital Marketing field.
Post that I took a short course for digital marketing and later started working in an affiliate marketing company. Soon I switched to another reverse e-Commerce based platform. Looking after a little bit of sales, and social media for the company’s seller community, I moved to a well-known digital marketing agency. Being in there for around two years, understanding everything about the industry working I decided to build my own agency and help Indian brands particularly to become big. Started off as a freelancer in 2017 for friends & family under the brand name Digital Raindrop, I quit my job in 2019 and became a full-time digital marketing freelancer. It’s since then my entrepreneurial journey began.

Digital Raindrop offers a comprehensive range of Digital Marketing services like Search Engine Optimization, Social Media Marketing, Online Reputation Management, Website Development & Designing, Content Writing, and Graphic Designing, deploying an expert team of professionals with extensive knowledge and years of rich experience in the field.

The digital marketing industry is a vast arena and it has significantly evolved over the years acquiring people’s trust. Also, the industry has received major boost especially in the last one and a half years due to COVID-19’s prevalence and emphasis on Digital Marketing. There are a lot of things adding up (AI, VR, and more) to personalizing & making the brand eye catching, but our approach is unique in introducing any product or service.
For any client project we begin with understanding what the client wants. Acquiring a complete understanding of their industry, objectives, short-term goals, long-term goals, and their idea about digital marketing, we do a thorough competitor research and accordingly present before them the samples and our creative ideas. Once we reach a common ground with the client, we start working smoothly with of our designers and other team members.
Although the digital marketing industry sees several women in the initial ranks, yet there is a dearth of women representatives in the top leadership roles. In your opinion how can this situation be rectified in the near future?
Opportunities are in abundance out there, but women often miss to grab those opportunities, either shying away from people or feeling pressured of their male counterparts’ manipulative management decisions and dirty office politics. It’s a fact that many a times, the male counterparts at workplaces are not supportive enough, but it is for women to not get distressed and fall prey to such acts. There are also some male counterparts who are very supportive and encouraging. Recognizing and believing in their potential, women need to overcome all of the preferable opportunities and not let anything dissuade them.
Given the demanding nature of your role as a business leader and an entrepreneur, how do you strike a balance between your work life and personal life?
To be honest, sometimes this industry works 24/7. So yes, I do definitely take out time, from my work life to spend time with my family& friends. But, then I also believe in giving back to the society. I have joined an international organization by the name- Rotary International and I am currently serving as a President of the Club.
What would you advise a woman aspiring to foray into the field of digital marketing and entrepreneurship?
To them, I would say~ Grab the first opportunity that you get, this is what I have done and what I have seen. Just get into the field. Don't be shy. Whatever comes your way, never say no, definitely grab it, and giving your best, do the best that you can. Rest, leave it out to the vibrations in the Universe. I am sure they will give you all the results that you deserve. That's it!
