Women Spearheading Innovation in Indian eLearning Landscape

Education has always been one of the most sought-after sectors for women. The education system has been built on the foundation of empathetic and nurturing women who take on the responsibility for shaping the young minds of any country. Women outnumber men as teachers globally, accounting for 60 percent of all teaching roles as stated by a Center for Global Development report.
Naturally, women have also taken to the edtech sector like a moth to a flame. Leveraging their inherent penchant for mentoring and educating children, women professionals have added technology to that mix.
The eLearning space has experienced massive upsides and downturns alike. Irrespective, it has become a key industry in today’s digital landscape. Women have been playing a key role in the eLearning space. According to a Holon IQ report, among 800 of the world's top Edtech startups, 170 were founded or co-founded by women.
Education and woman have always had a symbiotic relation and the trend will continue to grow in the future as well.
