Any great nation is built on the back of its hard working and talented working pool. India as a nation has an abundance of sharp minds with lofty visions; who have transformed the nation’s growth. A crucial component of India’s meteoric rise in the business and technology landscape can be traced back to post-independence India and Pandit Nehru’s vision to build educational institutions that would transform into a seat of excellence in learning. Thus, the IITs and IIMs were born.

After setting up management institutes in Calcutta, Ahmedabad and Bangalore, the vision was brought to the city of etiquettes and royalty, i.e. Lucknow.

Founded in 1984, IIM Lucknow’s vision is ‘To be a preeminent centre of excellence, generating and imparting knowledge in management and providing socially conscious and globally relevant thought leadership’. For the past 38 years, the institution has been doing exactly that. The institution of repute has given to the nation plethora of ‘value driven leaders, managers and global players’. In essence the institute has touched millions of lives directly and indirectly.

One such leader is Pratiksha Vaidya, Sr. Vice President-Business Development & Client Servicing, Hyperlink Brand Solutions. Gracing the cover of Women Entrepreneur Magazine’s current edition, Pratiksha is a resilient, open-minded, and adaptable leader. She has a working experience of over a decade. She first held the Events Head position with EduMedia India, and prior to joining Hyperlink Brand Solutions, also worked as the designated Senior Vice President for Events & Activation at as Fountainhead MKTG.

Speaking about IIM Lucknow’s impact on her journey, she says, “I always remember IIM Lucknow at every step of my journey. The relationships with my peers and professors are ones I hold dear, as every interaction, every conversation, and every learning I carry with me. I believe no knowledge is useless and everything we learn is instrumental to our growth. I am proud to say that all that knowledge & wisdom I carry with me has driven me to this very point in my life”.

Another leader from IIM Lucknow to be featured in the current edition is Pallavi Sarkar, Country Head HR, NORMA Group India. Pallavi is an experienced HR professional who has worked in a variety of sectors. Additionally, she has expertise and experience in developing HR, CSR and L&D departments, from initial design to effective integration. She is skilled and experienced in establishing Human Resources, Shared Services, COE, Talent, and OD functions in eminent organizations, from initial planning to successful integration& deployment.

“My mantra is to lead from the front, Think We, not Me, expectation management, be agile, upskill yourself, stay tuned to business and finance”, she says.
