Women make up nearly half the world’s population. However, women continue to be the minority in the workforce.

Since decades women have been given the raw end of the deal when it comes to joining the workforce. Challenges such as gender-roles, lack of education, dearth of opportunities have kept a large majority of women at home. And when they have ventured out in the workforce, they have been met with broken systems that not only hamper their career growth but also pay them lesser than men.

It is indeed a broken cycle.

A sure shot way of making things better for women in the workforce is by bringing more women to take up leadership roles. women in decision-making roles have proven to build more inclusive organizations.

It is imperative to make younger women believe that they can also have successful, long-lasting and fruitful careers. Highlighting existing women leaders and their journey towards professional success can play a key role in providing direction and motivation to aspiring women professionals.

With this mandate the current edition of GWL brings to you conversations with successful women leaders from across the globe.
