Bengaluru Reigning Supreme as the Best Startup Ecosystem in India

Bengaluru was chastened as the ‘Silicon Valley of India’ long ago. From a sleepy town, the capital of Karnataka has gradually transitioned into one of the most fast-pace ecosystems for innovative companies. For years, the city has been the top most startup ecosystem in India and is now also the foremost one in south East Asia.

According to DPIIT, total number of startups registered in Bangalore came up to 5062 in 2020. The city also topped the startup funding list with a total investment of $10.8 billion in 2022.

The Global Startup Ecosystems Report (GSER) 2023 positioned Bengaluru at the 20th spot, making it the only Indian city to make it to the top 20.

None of these statistics come as a surprise, since Bengaluru is known for having the conducive ecosystem for ideating, building and scaling up a startup.
