The honour was bestowed upon Kapoor during the 51st International Emmy Awards, held during the World Television Festival in 2023."I think art and writing and storytelling have a far bigger impact than we gave it credit for," Ekta said after accepting the prize. During the opening cocktail hour, Shah, dressed in a gorgeous JJ Valaya ensemble, paid respect to Indian design.Shefali Shah was beaten out for Best Actress by Mexican actress Karla Souza, who was awarded for her part in the film "La Caida" (Dive).Shefali expressed her thanks and joy over her nomination on social media, writing, "OMGGGGG I still can't believe it. I am honoured to be nominated for an International Emmy alongside such talented artists."Shefali's nomination was a watershed moment for India and Netflix, demonstrating the platform's dedication to produce high-quality content.
