8 AUGUST2023INFOCUSOne of London's best restaurateurs, Samyukta Nair, the mastermind behind KOYN, Bombay Bustle, MiMi Mei Fair, Jamavar, and Socca, has launched a new event series called "Made by Women." The programme pays tribute to the creative journeys of prominent London-based women business owners.After taking home two major awards, Best Restaurateur at the GQ Food & Drinks Award and Restaurateur of the Year at the National Restaurant Awards, Nair is now concentrating on showcasing the achievements of other women in the industry.The "Made by Women" series will have its premiere at Nair's restaurant, Bombay Bustle, on September 4. At the first event, Eshita Kabra, the founder of By Rotation, a sustainable fashion brand, will give a speech. Kabra will talk about her incredible transformation from a financial expert to a well-known figure in the fashion world.After the opening ceremony on September 11, renowned author Rosie Birkett will speak. The popular cookbook author Birkett, whose works include "The Joyful Home Cook" and "East London Food," will discuss her writing career and her experiences in developing recipes.On October 2, the esteemed food writer Skye McAlpine will be highlighted. McAlpine will talk about her passion for hosting elaborate dinner parties and impart her intimate tips and tricks to the audience.The "Made by Women" series will conclude on October 9 with Olia Hercules, author, activist, and former chef at Ottolenghi. She is also a co-founder of Cook for Ukraine. Hercules will talk about the preservation of Ukrainian cuisine and culture via her cooking and share some of her recipes.Every evening of the series will start with champagne and canapés, followed by heated debates and in-person Q&A sessions with the featured speakers. The attendees will then be treated to a sumptuous meal that features some of the most popular dishes from Bombay Bustle, like as samosas, paneer butter masala, papdi chaat, Malabar lamb curry, dabba dal, and jalebi cheesecake for dessert.With great excitement, Samyukta announced the debut of "Made by Women," expressing that she was looking forward to exploring everything from fashion to gastronomy and conversing with an amazing collection of achievers and dreamers.
