8 MAY2022The National Commission for Women (NCW) and the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) have partnered to empower women with professional training to help them establish their entrepreneurial careers, as well as a chance for active women entrepreneurs. In conjunction with NCW and MyGov.in, IIMK's Centre of Excellence for Social Innovation (CESI) will develop and implement a collaborative online training program to encourage and expand entrepreneurial capability among women entrepreneurs. According to a press release published in Kozhikode, the curriculum would be delivered bilingually in English and Malayalam to increase awareness and accessibility.Aspiring female entrepreneurs can now choose from two distinct programs, the Foundation Program in Entrepreneurship and the Advanced Program in Entrepreneurship, both of which are tailored to their current work and skill sets. The four-month, short-term programs, which contain sixty hours of online and interactive learning, feature lectures, seminars, entrepreneurial talks, and key mentorship from a variety of subject matter specialists.Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, Director IIMK, remarked when the alliance was announced, "Innovation and entrepreneurship are the buzz words around which the history of the twenty-first century will be scripted. Entrepreneurship has long been a male-dominated activity, with much fewer women opting for it as a means of empowerment. IIMK is a leader in gender diversity, and we are certain that collaborations like this will shift the current quo and release the latent potential of female entrepreneurs. It is now time to support women who want to start businesses and acquire the skills and views that will enable them to create and operate sustainable firms that will improve the world".NWC member-secretary Meeta Rajivlochan stated, "Women have a critical role to play in India's economic roadmap. We hope to promote access to information, encourage women entrepreneurs, and pave the road for a happy, balanced, and successful India through their work with the IIMK and NCW".CESI Director Prof Priya Nair Rajeev commented, "The entrepreneurial program for women reinforces IIMK's commitment to women development and social responsibility. IIMK has made the greatest management education available to women who need it to enhance their lives and lead their families and communities into the future by providing a bilingual program".APPLICATION GUIDELINESAll women entrepreneurs who are citizens of India and can interpret oral and written content in English and Malayalam are eligible to participate.
