The DGCA has released a crucial advisory that encourages stakeholders to promote women's representation in various roles, introduce leadership and mentorship programs, challenge stereotypes, and promote work-life balance. This initiative is in line with the vision of gender equality showcased by the Indian Constitution and the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO), a United Nations Agency that issued a circular advocating for equal opportunities in aviation for all Indian operators.The crucial advisory, in line with the Indian Constitution and ICAO vision, mandates improved representation, leadership, and mentorship programs for women, addressing stereotypes, promoting work-life balance, and promoting diversity, including a zero-tolerance policy against sexual harassment. The organization is promoting diversity by setting objectives, fostering inclusive HR policies, advocating for diverse work profiles for women, and celebrating female role models to foster a more inclusive workforce culture.Promoting aviation careers for girls is essential for diversity and unlocking potential. Highlighting successful women as role models, organizing events like 'Fly Like A Girl' and providing STEM-related activities, and organizing 'Girls in Aviation Day' will encourage women. PepsiCo India has launched RevolutioNari ­ A Revolution for the Nari, a program aiming to empower 1 million women nationwide. The initiative aims to build awareness, provide upskilling opportunities, and improve livelihood prospects in unconventional roles like sales, manufacturing, and agriculture. It will provide hands-on knowledge, mentorship, resources, and guidance and encourage women to delve into the area of entrepreneurship. The program focuses on enhancing employability, economic independence, entrepreneurship, health awareness, and nutrition education.PepsiCo India collaborates with various organizations and NGOs to implement the program effectively, contributing to gender equality, economic growth, and social progress. RevolutioNari aligns with PepsiCo India's pep+ philosophy, focusing on Positive Agriculture and Positive Value Chain to improve livelihoods, empower women, enhance employability, provide education, and vocational training, and advance the diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) agenda. This initiative driven by PepsiCo India intends to address the gender gap in India's workforce and recognize the missed potential of women in the country.The RevolutioNari campaign will target undergraduate women in various disciplines, underprivileged women, and senior secondary school students across 100 cities in India.
