9 JULY2022The Yogi Government has made providing social security to the state's over 24 crore residents a top priority. The chief minister made a number of actions in this order, including extending the free ration and adding more than a lakh more recipients to programmes like Kanya Sumangala. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's Kanya Sumangala Yojana, which ensures the total wellbeing of female children, has so far benefited approximately 13.68 lakh girls in Uttar Pradesh through DBT. Under the state government's flagship programme, more than one lakh more girls have been added during the past 100 days. The majority of the beneficiaries of the programme are female students in basic, upper primary, secondary, and higher education.14,085 couples have wed under the Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana during its second term. 2.82 lakh marriages and grants have been given out to couples thus far. Rs.400 crore were given to 82,520 self-help groups as revolving funds and community investment funds in an effort to empower women. In the first cabinet of the government, in addition to the rations provided under PMGKAY, the state government expanded the availability of free rations to 15 crore families for a period of three months in an effort to ensure that no one in the state goes to bed hungry. The Gram Panchayats were included in the food grain procurement plan, and door-to-door delivery was set-up. The process of approving fair-price stores as common service centres has begun.It is important to emphasize that government-sponsored public welfare measures that have been in place for more than five years are having a positive impact on those at the bottom rungs of the development ladder as well.
