In-fact the allure for beauty is not an acquired trait at all; it is something that has been wired into our very DNA. However, with time, this primal instinct has evolved into an impediment that affects our lives greatly. Think of the unpleasantness a simple pimple, or dull skin or hair fall can cause!It's no surprise that modern men and women are trapped in the pursuit of socially-approved and hard to achieve beauty standards. This phenomenon manifests in the massive popularity gained by the personal care and cosmetic industry globally. But there are some who go a step further and opt for medical aesthetic procedures to achieve the desired looks.Globally the cosmetology industry was valued at a whopping $108.3 billion in 2022. With no signs of stopping, the industry is expected to grow in value at a CAGR of 10.9 percent between 2022 and 2032 to reach $336.53 Billion by 2032.Looking closer home we see that beauty is serious business in India. Although over-the-counter skincare and personal-care products are widely used by Indians, yet there has been a newfound interest and acceptance for cosmetology and skincare treatments. India currently ranks fourth globally (after USA, Brazil and South Korea) when it comes to the number of cosmetic surgery procedures performed. The country has gradually opened up to the idea of aesthetic surgeries; more than nine lakh procedures are conducted each year in India. The number is only going to increase going forward.The numbers indicate a massive surge in demand for cosmetology procedures. Cosmetic surgical procedures such as facelift, hair transplant, and liposuction are some of the most commonly opted for procedures. Across the country face enhancement, Botox and fillers are two key products in cosmetic surgery and have become prevalent across people from all genders. The key while finding the right cosmetologist is to gauge one's experience and skill-set.
