The 'Inclusion in the Recording Studio?' analysis from USC Annenberg and Spotify states that just 23.3 percent of the 180 artists listed on the Billboard Hot 100 Year-End Chart in 2021 were female, with 76.7 percent of them being men.Insignificant numbers of women have also been nominated for important accolades; 14.2 percent of the 2022 Grammy nominations in major categories were women, compared to 85.5 percent of men. Only 10 percent of head of department (HOD) jobs in important divisions like production design, writing, editing, direction, and cinematography are held by women, according to India's 'O Womaniya' 2022 report.Additionally, just 10 percent of senior leadership positions in media and entertainment corporations were held by women. According to the sixth economic census conducted by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, women make up 8.05 million, or 13.76 percent, of India's 58.5 million overall business owners.
