8 JUNE2023INFOCUSINFOCUSGlobal cosmetics company, Estée Lauder has appointed beauty queen turned actor Manushi Chhillar as its Global Brand Ambassador.The actress had earlier represented Estée Lauder Companies' flagship brand in a 2022 campaign for Advanced Night Repair in India.Manushi who was crowned as Miss World 2017 will now appear in the campaign for Estée Lauder's Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup in India. The campaign is slated to debut in May 2023.Recently Lauder named Dutch model Imaan Hammam as its new face. The other famous names associated with Estée Lauder include Adut Akech, Ana de Armas, Amanda Gorman, Bianca Brandolini D'Adda, Carolyn Murphy, Grace Elizabeth, Karlie Kloss, Koki and Yang Mi.Dikshita Shukla, Brand Manager, Estée Lauder India, said, "An inspiration to young women across India, Manushi embodies our brand philosophy of `beauty with a purpose'. PFC is India's largest Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) by net worth. If appointed, Parminder will be the first woman to hold the coveted position.Parminder has been with PFC since 2005 and has been serving as Director (Finance) and CFO since 2020. Additionally, she is a member of the board of directors. She brings to the table over 35 years of experience in the power sector and has earlier worked with organizations such as the National Hydroelectric Power Corporation of India (NHPC) and the Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL).Parminder has a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, and she is a qualified Cost Accountant and MBA.In her new role as CMD, Parminder will `oversee strategic initiatives and drive growth to solidify the company's position as a leading Maharatna PSU'.Her appointment as CMD is also an important milestone for Indian women professionals who also aspire to surpass gender barriers and break the glass ceiling in corporate leadership.
