These determined women have undergone a rigorous 18-day training program at the Mine Rescue Station (Western Coal Field) in Nagpur and the Rampura Agucha Mine operated by the firm. During this training period, they have learned life-saving skills, including proficient navigation through dangerous environments, CPR, and SCBA proficiency.This remarkable feat has been accomplished following the first all-women underground mine rescue team in India, at Hindustan Zinc. The first team includes exemplary trained women with adequate knowledge of emergency response, self-rescuers, kinds of fire, extinguishing procedures, mine gases, first aid, technician examinations, theoretical exams, and surface and underground mine emergency scenarios. with safety, inclusion, and diversity at the core of its business practices, Hindustan Zinc aims to boast an impressive 21.7 per cent female employee representation.
