The global corporate world gives ample emphasis to up-skilling its workforce which in turn has catapulted corporate training into a niche market that has been experiencing constant growth. The scenario is no different in India and experts believe that the optimum potential of the Indian corporate training industry still remains untouched. There thus exists a massive scope for growth and expansion in the days to come. In fact reports state that the market expanded and grew at a double digit growth rate during the period 2013-2018.Over the last few years Indian has witnessed growth momentum being shifted from secondary sectors to service industry. India's IT & ITES success story is known to all which creates a constant need for trained and skilled IT professionals. Similarly, large industries such as telecom, banking, FMCG, automotive etc have also witnessed a need for trained and skilled workforce. Given today's digitized world, employees are also required to be well versed with various technology systems. All these factors combined have added to the impending growth of the Indian corporate training sector. However, it is interesting to note that there has been a rapid digitization when it comes to training methodologies as well. The industry has gradually imbibed online training which especially came handy all during the pandemic and resultant work from home situation. Owing to low entry barriers and by virtue of it being a fragmented market, there has been an influx of players in the Indian corporate training market.
