The rally, known as the "Nari Sashaktikaran Women Motorcycle Rally," is also commemorating the 24th anniversary of the Kargil Vijay Diwas, marking India's victory in the 1999 Kargil War.The Indian Army held a rally at the Hall of Fame in Leh to commemorate their valor during the Kargil War, with a flagging-off ceremony attended by General Officer Commanding, Fire & Fury Corps, Lt Gen Hitesh Bhalla, SC SM, VSM and Vimal Sumbly, Head Business - Premium at TVS Motor Company. The rally promotes women's empowerment and adventure in India's motorcycling and adventure sports, encouraging them to break barriers and participate in traditionally male-dominated activities, reflecting a trend towards gender equality.A challenging rally featuring 25 experienced women riders from India, including serving women of the Armed Forces, military spouses, and civil enthusiasts, will be held over 12 days in the UT of Ladakh. The rally will cover over 2,000 km, including challenging rides across Khardung La and Umling La, and culminate at the Kargil War Memorial.
