4 OCTOBER2022Editor NoteImparting Management Education That Creates Progressive & Sustainable Impact On Economy & SocietyThe British fled India in 1947, but they left behind a young nation that had to find its feet in a global economy ruled by powerful & established countries. Young India's young leaders had the long term vision required to build the country up on the foundations of innovation and hard-work. In the years following India's independence, there was a surge in activities that would help us become a democratic state that was committed to tangible growth in all sectors. One of the actions taken by the perceptive leaders of the time was the establishment of institutes of higher learnings that could sharpen our hold in technology and management. One such institute was IIM Ahmedabad. Over five glorious decades IIM Ahmedabad has been the premier seat in India for management studies and has given the nation & the world scores of bright minds. The institute's motto is to function as a premier global management school `operating at the frontiers of management education and practice while creating a progressive and sustainable impact on society'.In this edition of Women Entrepreneur India we shine the spotlight on women leaders who have once walked the halls of IIM Ahmedabad and are today reigning in the corporate & entrepreneurial world.
